Privacy Policy for Alurtra
Last updated: August 2026
Alurtra ("we", "our", "the app") is a phishing detection tool. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- URLs and email content you submit for analysis
- Account information if you register: email address and hashed password
- Scan history, if you are logged in
- Community-reported scam submissions
How we use it
- Submitted URLs and emails are analyzed using Google Safe Browsing, URLhaus, and Google Gemini AI to assess phishing risk. This may involve sending the submitted content to these third-party services for analysis.
- Account data is used to let you log in, view your scan history, and reset your password via a 6-digit code sent to your email.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data retention
- Scan history is retained for logged-in users until they delete their account or request removal.
- Password reset codes expire after 15 minutes and are not stored longer than necessary.
Third-party services
Alurtra uses Google Safe Browsing API, URLhaus (abuse.ch), and Google Gemini AI to analyze submitted content. These services may process the data you submit according to their own privacy policies.
